The Latest Red Piranha News

Hello April!

March was an exciting month. So much happened on the product front with new feature updates. Talking about April, we have planned one eventful month for our partners. We recently conducted a knowledge sprint session on how EDR doesn’t stop or detect Cobalt Strike and how Crystal Eye can help you mitigate attacks that leverage Cobalt Strike. Last week, we organised an event for our partners in Delhi (India) that was a success and saw a great turnout.

We have partner events coming up in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth; followed by Crystal Eye Essential Module 1 and 2 and the Sales Enablement Webinar in May.

We are honoured to have been featured in the Australian Defence Export Catalogue 2024. This is the fourth time we have been featured in the catalogue, reaffirming our presence and commitment to the nation's defence initiatives.

We are excited to see what new adventures April has in store. Remember, our team is always here to assist you with your cybersecurity needs.

Crystal Eye XDR Update

Extensive work has been underway as we have continued to prepare version 5.0 to be available to all Partners and End Users as soon as possible. We have added some features, and we can’t wait for you to use them.

The April software update has a few changes to 4.5 with a large catalogue of updates for the soon-to-be-released version 5.0.

With the pending release of 5.0, we would like to remind anyone still using version 4.0 that 4.5 is available now and is a requirement prior to upgrading to 5.0. All software upgrades are included in the license and take less than 10 minutes to perform. When 5.0 is made available, 4.0 will no longer receive support.

We also spent some time with our Security Operations Team talking about EDR bypass and other techniques we have seen used by Cobalt Strike. More importantly, we have demonstrated ways that tools like Cobal Strike can be detected and mitigated using Crystal Eye features.

Service Spotlight: Network Detection and Response

News3

Detect known and unknown threats and stop attackers with Network Detection and Response (NDR). NDR helps organisations monitor network traffic in real-time and analyse data packets and network flows to identify potentially malicious behaviour.

Red Piranha's Crystal Eye NDR helps you identify and respond to network attacks before they spread across your network and systems. Crystal Eye has up to 10x more visibility than comparable products in the UTM class. Our security teams prioritise complete visibility across all known malware and threat actors to detect east-west and north-south network traffic, effectively mitigating security risks.

Crystal Eye NDR can be deployed in-line or out-of-band with minimal infrastructure changes, offering significantly lower TCO on world-class detection technology, integrated Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) and on-demand threat hunting and response capability. With integrated CTI, Secure Web Gateway, Azure AD, and more, Crystal Eye achieves metadata enrichment at the time of collection, enabling businesses to capture every network session, including source/destination IP address, session length, and protocol used (TCP, UDP), as well as key attributes such as host and server IP address, port (source & destination), geo-location, DNS, DHCP, and encryption type. With real-time intelligence on network traffic, communications, and threat actors, Crystal Eye empowers security teams to detect and respond to threats.

Don't let your organisation become another statistic in the rising tide of cyberattacks. Protect your network with Crystal Eye NDR.

Webinar: EDRs don't stop or detect Cobalt Strike.
So, what will?

News3

In our April knowledge sprint session, we covered how threat actors can easily bypass EDR systems that businesses often rely upon. Threat actors use Cobalt Strike, a tool-turned-weapon by malicious actors and its rich feature set lowers the technical barrier to entry for ransomware gangs.

Our team demonstrated how to detect and mitigate these threats using Crystal Eye's world-leading CTI and Automated Actionable Intelligence.
